The gift of believing as a family of faith

We didn't always go to church as a family.

There were times (years) when Randy and I stopped practicing our faith altogether - ridden with disbelief and disgust at the state of our broken church.

But because God is so merciful, and Jesus our Good Shepherd never gave up on us, we've humbly found our way back home.

And now, our faith remains the most cherished part of our family life.

We stubbornly tried to live without it.

Instead, we insisted on seeking solace from all the shiny promises of this world: wealth, control, admiration, beauty, comfort, youthfulness, success, winning, instant gratification, and the ever-so-exciting thrill of the chase.

"All this I will give you, if you bow down and worship me," the devil did claim (Matthew 4:9).

Sadly, expectedly, and deservingly, our faithlessness only made us bitter, falsely self-assured, and aimless in life.

My friends, it's not too late. Save yourself and your family, and believe in our Lord Jesus.

It's the only way you'll ever find true peace and lasting joy.

Nothing else in this world will give that to you - not your career, perfect health, social status, possessions, power, good looks, compliments, praise, physical pleasures, the most delicious food, or even the most enviable vacations.

And despite what most of us have been misled to think in this greedy and wounded world, not even all the money you could ever dream of will make you happy, and worse, it can't save your soul.

For those who have fallen asleep and fallen away from our faith, come home.

I promise and testify, while the fleeting and shallow offerings of this world leave you unsatisfied and insecure, you'll finally find what you're looking for here.

For those who like us, have left and returned, let's stay together.

"Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved." Acts 16:31
