The right spiritual formation

One of the most significant reasons I applied to Avila Institute for my spiritual direction training is their program’s faithfulness to the teachings of the Catholic Church’s magisterium.

Finding my own spiritual director who was aligned with the moral theology of our faith foundations, was equally important for me.

I didn’t just want a spiritual director and training program that was only slightly familiar with, or who would merely teach me about basic Christian prayer and spiritual life.

I insisted on learning from, and being directed by a spiritual director and training institute that encouraged and followed traditional and entirely faithful Catholic teachings.

Right from the start

I knew from the first day of class that God led me to the right choice with Avila Institute when the first reading assignment in my very first course was to read The Catechism of the Catholic Church.

So if you’re also looking for a well-founded spiritual director and/or a spiritual director training program, I pray that you search diligently and find one that promotes and stays faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Catechism and the wisdom of the doctors/saints of our faith.

We are called

As Catholic women who have been called to build and grow our own ministries, may we not ever misrepresent, misconstrue, or dilute Christ’s message.

Just like the first disciples, we too have been summoned by Jesus Himself - to evangelize, spread our Catholic faith, and share the unwavering truth of our Church’s teachings and beauty of our timeless traditions.

This Spring, I’m taking this course that will teach us how to prepare and protect our families from spiritual warfare.
